Big Mutha Truckers 2: Truck Me Harder
Well well well, we have
another Truckers title on our hands here and from the looks of things
not a great deal has changed since we hopped in a cab and were headed on
our way to destinations filled with destruction!
Ma is in jail and the only thing that can save her
wrinkly ass is you! Playing the roles of the kids, you have to drive
your way around the country side doing missions, and earning the cash to
bribe people on the jury before they hang Ma out to dry. It’s a pretty
linear dish and its saving grace is the fact that you can bet your time
to each destination.
The less time you reckon you can make it to the next
stop, the higher the amount of money that can be won. Remember, if you
screw it up, you’ll be placing dear old Ma in danger of going to jail
like she really deserves.
Like the game before it, Truckers 2 has fairly good
game mechanics and the handling of rigs is a lot of fun. The kids all
have different rigs and handle it all a bit differently as well. Their
stories are varied thank heavens, and this stops the game from running
itself fully into the ground.
Graphically it’s not too bad really, it’s not up to
the standard of what you can expect to come off this console but not bad
enough to really piss you off either. It just is the way it is. Audio is
handled well with some corny dialogue that will most likely have you
laughing for the first time you play but… wait.. you’ll prolly only play
this one once. There are some volume issues with some player characters
and no lip synch but passable all the same.
There is not a great deal to make you come back
again. That’s not to say that is necessarily a bad thing, it just means
that I would see this title being more of a one time gig, when you are
done, you are done.
This game is a single player adventure and you can
get out of the truck and into a number of other vehicles to get the job
done. I found that the trucks were the most fun though all things said
and done.
Rent, try and maybe buy. Some of you will love it,
others will give it a miss.
