A classic!

2020 is the 40th birthday of Eric Hill’s Spot and this delightful book about our favourite little pooch as the reader attempts to find him behind each door because it’s his dinner time. The book starts with in classic Eric Hill fashion as his first words commence the story…

Naughty Spot! It’s dinner time. Where can he be?

From here, Spot’s mother Sally looks through all sorts of doors to find a bear, a turtle, a monkey and even a lion. The reader eventually finds spot as Sally takes him back to eat his dinner. While aimed at younger readers, they will simply adore the premise as they open each flap looking for Spot.

Final thoughts?

Where’s Spot: The original lift-the-flap book is a must have for a new generation of Spot fans that is not only well-written but beautifully illustrated and coloured.

Recommended!
