Summary: Predictably grim but some people get along better in the wasteland than others. Worth a look.

Grim

Not everyone is having a bad time with the earth being destroyed, you get the feeling that Doctor Doom quite likes being lord of his domain. When he comes across a village that seems to be in the thrall of magical protection that he can’t break he decides to investigate.

There are a lot of flashbacks in this story and it feels like you have to know a bit about this character to get them most out of this story but I didn’t have any trouble following what was going on.

From what I can see from reading the various characters in this series none of the storylines seems to be linking up as yet or if they are I have not seen any evidence of it which makes it easier to follow what is going on and dip in and out of series if you are only interested in particular characters.

Along with the Wolverine issue, this one is quite brutal given how brutal and non-forgiving Doctor Doom is.

I would recommend this one if you are into post-apocalyptic stories and also superheroes.
