Wargaming Rolls Out to PAX Australia 2014

World of Warships to make first Australian hands-on debut

October 22, 2014 — Wargaming today announced its presence at PAX Australia 2014, held at the Melbourne Convention and Exhibition Centre from October 31st through to November 2nd. Located at booth 1830, Wargaming team will offer a full schedule of exciting on-site activities including daily entertainment, prizing, and gameplay activities for show attendees.

The company’s multiplatform lineup will include both iOS and Android versions of World of Tanks Blitz, the mobile MMO action game that has amassed over 8 million installs since its global launch in June 2014, along with the PC sensation World of Tanks and the award-winning World of Tanks: Xbox 360 Edition.

In addition, PAX Australia 2014 will also mark the first ever hands-on in Australia for Wargaming’s highly anticipated naval combat title World of Warships, brought to the show in a behind closed doors experience.

“Wargaming has an extremely passionate player community in Australia,” said Jasper Nicolas General Manager of Wargaming Asia. “Coming to a show like PAX provides us with a unique and exciting opportunity to interact with our players.”

Visitors at the booth will be able to participate in a full schedule of exciting on-site activities including daily Q&A sessions with World of Warships and World of Tanks Blitz developers, a variety of games such as bumper cars and last tank standing, and contests with prizes from Razer, Corsair, Asus and Plantronics.

Hourly livestreams from the Wargaming booth will also take place with Freshmeat, a well-known pro-gamer and former member of Australia’s largest eSports organization, Avant Garde, along with feature segments by Batman, professional gamer from PVP Super Friends team, and one of Australia’s popular streamers, Paige.
