Unihack 2025 and Logitech Australia: Nurturing the future of industry leadership with creativity and technical ingenuity
Unihack, Australia’s largest and premier student hackathon, returns for its 12th year from 14-16 March 2025, offering tertiary students a platform to showcase their creativity and technical ingenuity. This year, Logitech Australia—a leading multi-brand company dedicated to enhancing connections through music, gaming, video, and computing—joins as the major sponsor, championing the next generation of talent across the ANZ region.
Unihack will bring together 600 students from across Australia and New Zealand in its biggest competition yet. Over an intense 48-hour hybrid event, teams will design, build, and pitch a working prototype—whether it be a website, mobile app, video game, or hardware solution. The only rule? It must work when presented.
“Unihack is a non-profit organisation driven entirely by dedicated volunteers. Each year, we welcome tertiary students from across ANZ to take part in the competition, providing them with a dynamic and supportive environment to explore their potential alongside their peers,” said Terence Huynh, Sponsorship Lead at Unihack.
Last year, Unihack saw 447 students from 18 universities participate, and past winners have gone on to launch successful careers at companies like Meta, Canva, AWS, and Google.
“Unihack is more than just a competition, it’s a dynamic platform that empowers students to apply their skills beyond the classroom. Logitech’s support is instrumental in elevating this experience, enabling us to uncover the brightest young tech talent in the region,” added Huynh.
As a company dedicated to enhancing creativity and productivity, Logitech sees Unihack as a prime opportunity to invest in the next generation. “Logitech is committed to identifying and supporting future industry leaders. Through Unihack, we can engage with some of the brightest minds and provide them with the tools they need to turn their ideas into reality,” said Marisol Vargas, Senior Cluster Category Manager at Logitech ANZ.
Logitech MX Creative Workshop
To further support participants, Logitech will host a Logitech MX Workshop on 17 March 2025, offering students a hands-on experience with the Logitech MX Series—a range of premium tools designed for professionals seeking both productivity and comfort. All registered students will get the chance to explore cutting-edge hardware solutions that can elevate their creative and technical projects.
Unihack and Logitech are united in their commitment to empowering the next generation of talent across every discipline. For more details on Unihack, please visit Unihack; to learn more about the Logitech MX Series, please visit Logitech.
