Triple J’s Lewis McKirdy Joins Bonus Stage #6!
Watch out, Sydney. The dice have been rolled, the character sheets have been updated and your Bonus Stage heroes have finally reached level 6. This month the team are adding to their ability modifiers by throwing Triple J’s, Lewis McKirdy into the comedy mix. In addition to being a rad radio host, rumour has it that McKirdy enjoys haunting the dark corners of the internet for a bout or two of online gaming. Spoiler Alert: This month the team will be celebrating all things indie in a truly hilarious fashion. Now we could tell you more, but we’re going to channel EA and make your wait for the next press release DLC to reveal all the details. But, we can say that it involves themed fake game pitches. Stay tuned!
But hold up, what is the show all about? Can you just jump in at level 6? Absolutely! It’s just as inclusive as The Witcher 3, but ever so slightly shorter. Bonus Stage is a live video game talk show, hosted by Carlo Ritchie (The Bear Pack) and Ben O’Brien (Big Head Mode). In addition to chatting and cracking jokes about games, the show is bundled with sketches, cosplay and appearances from REAL video game characters. But it’s dangerous to go alone, so they’ll be joined by a variety of companions from the comedy and gaming worlds, including resident musical masterminds, Benny Davis (The Axis of Awesome) and the Triforce! Don’t forget to hang out after the show for some truly dark rounds of Cards Against Humanity, a wide variety of video games and a few cheeky drinks. Need a more detailed walkthrough? We have a newly unboxed promo vid and a YouTube Channel full of sketches, including A Tale of Two Indies, which was recently featured on Kotaku. Also Starring
