World War Witchy


Sometime during World War II the ghosts walk the streets, drawn by a strange song. Local witch Bernice is drawn to help buy the local reverend is against her. With nobody else to turn to, Bernice goes out to solve the mystery herself.

Even though this seems like this is the conclusion for a story, it has really only just started and it will be interesting to see how it turns out.

I did enjoy the art style and the use of watercolours for the artwork as you do not see it as much these days with digital production methods for comics.

If you like stories with strong female protagonists and also minorities I would recommend this story as you would not expect to have a story from this point of view in this particular time period.

I can’t really place where the story is occurring but seems to be in somewhere in the older parts of the USA.

There is a lot of potential to this story and hopefully it goes on to have a wider readership.
