Symantec Security Response: Scammers spoof TaiG; offer fake iOS jailbreak

Symantec has discovered scammers are spoofing popular jailbreaking site, TaiG, to offer a fake beta version of an iOS 9.2.1 jailbreak tool, instead luring users to a donation page.

Following the TaiG beta link, Symantec came across a page that touts the TaiG brand, but uses a slightly different domain name and look (i.e. TaiG9, as opposed to TaiG).

Users are guided through several steps to complete the jailbreak process, but these steps are misleading. Symantec was unable to detect any activity related to jailbreaking in the browser aside from the dialog displayed by the site.
