Sony Announces PlayStation VR 2 Specs @ CES 2022
At CES 2022, Sony announced their new PlayStation VR 2 headset that is far superior than their clunky generation one headset originally launched for the PlayStation 4. At the presentation, Sony noted the following specs of their new PlayStation VR 2 headset;

Interestingly, the headset will use foveated rendering technology that uses eye-tracking to render high detail only at the center of the user’s field-of-view that improves speed while reducing detail in the periphery. Additionally, PSVR 2 will use HDR (high dynamic range) technology which has yet to be seen in commercial headset and allows a much wider range of brightness which more closely mimics what your eye can see in the real world. The headset is also removing the PS camera as it will use inside-out tracking via cameras directly mounted on the unit. Even better, the headset only requires one cable which is USB-C.
