Samsung Launches the Stylish, Ultra-Thin Galaxy A5 and A3 in Australia
The Galaxy A5 and A3 offer integrated social media features with the Samsung Galaxy smartphone experience
SYDNEY, Australia – 25th February, 2015 – Samsung Electronics Australia today announced the local pricing of two new additions to the Galaxy family – the Galaxy A5 and A3 which will be available in-store from Thursday 5 March 2015. Featuring stylish design and an outstanding finish, the Galaxy A5 and A3 also make it easy to capture meaningful moments, connect to social media* and also includes exceptional safety functionality. The Galaxy A5 and A3 will be available from RRP $599 and RRP $449 in Pearl White and Midnight Black.

The Ultra Slim, Full Metal Design
One of Samsung’s slimmest smartphones to date, the Galaxy A5 and A3 feature a full metal unibody design that is just 6.7mm and 6.9mm thick respectively. The Galaxy A5 and A3 will be available to consumers in Pearl White and Midnight Black.
A-Series Safety Features
Great for added piece of mind, users can discreetly send pictures, pre-recorded messages and GPS coordinates to pre-set VIPs with the Safety Assistance** feature on the Galaxy A5 and A3. The Galaxy A5 and A3 also include Find My Mobile^, which, in certain circumstances, can track the device if missing.
5 MP Front Camera for Amazing Selfies
The Galaxy A5 and A3 provide an exceptional mobile and social media experience to Australians who want to express their unique style while staying connected. Both models feature a 5MP front-facing camera, which makes taking selfies easy. Camera features such as Wide Selfie, Palm Selfie, Animated GIF, Beauty Face Features and Rear-cam Selfie let users capture selfies in high resolution by automatically detecting and focusing on a person’s face. Users are also able to quickly and easily share photos or videos on their favorite social media channels* with the device’s fast network speed of 4G Category 4 standard
Vivid Display and Powerful Processor
Ideal for consumers seeking both practical and functional features from their smartphone, the Galaxy A5 and A3 devices are equipped with a Super AMOLED display and Adaptive Display technology. These features help to deliver clear images with deep contrast for vivid and colourful content.
The Galaxy A5 and A3 also feature a Quad Core 1.2 GHz processor which allows users to seamlessly multi-task and access a fast browsing experience. In addition, the Galaxy A5 and A3 include popular features exclusive to Galaxy devices, such as Ultra-Power Saving Mode, Private Mode and Multiscreen, as well as an adaptive display which, when using selected applications, intelligently adapts the brightness of the screen.
Pricing and Availability
The Galaxy A5 and A3 will be available for RRP $599 and RRP $449 from 5th March.
The Galaxy A3 will also be available from Telstra, Vodafone and Optus and the Galaxy A5 will be available from Vodafone.
