In this unique racing adventure, the AUTOBOTS and DECEPTICONS are on a mission to recover the stolen Prime Relics that grant great power to those who possess them. With five playable AUTOBOTS; Optimus Prime, Bumblebee, Elita-1, Wheeljack and Arcee, five playable DECEPTICONS; Megatron, Shockwave, Flamewar, Soundwave and Nightbird, as well as the ultimate antagonist, Nemesis Prime. Each character is infused with their own personality, bespoke voiceover lines and unlockable skins for customisation, as well as two unique skills each, such as Wheeljack’s Wrecking Bomb, Soundwave’s Sonic Sphere and Nemesis Prime’s Axe of Extinction. With eight unique weapons available to every character, players can expect a varied gameplay experience with every race.

As racers beat both sprint racetracks and circuit races in the Galactic Trials, they can unlock 70 individual relics that will increase stats for speed, damage and handling, with the more powerful Artefacts of the Prime granting stronger power-ups. The game features four difficulty modes, from Rookie to Prime, with stronger Relic rewards available on higher difficulty settings. Play solo to complete individual side objectives in each race and unlock skills, characters and tracks in the Galactic Trials, or shift gears into Arcade Mode and race against a friend in up to 2-player local multiplayer. Long-time TRANSFORMERS fans can also look out for Easter Eggs, including voiceover lines inspired by iconic dialogue and character skins based on a variety of media across the franchise’s 40-year history.

Stephanie Malham, Managing Director of Outright Games, said: “We have had the pleasure of collaborating with our friends at Hasbro on the TRANSFORMERS IP many times over the years, but it is a real honour to be entrusted with an important, legacy brand like this, in the year of its 40th anniversary. For this important milestone, we worked to create a unique hybrid gameplay experience with TRANSFORMERS: GALACTIC TRIALS that perfectly aligns with the more than meets the eye duality of these iconic characters.”

Eugene Evans, SVP of Digital Strategy and Licensing at Wizards of the Coast and Hasbro, said: “We are delighted to continue the celebrations of the TRANSFORMERS 40th anniversary alongside our long-time partner Outright Games. It is wonderful to see the continued passion for this brand, spanning generations. We believe fans will enjoy the unique and dynamic racing gameplay and fun nods to the franchise that can be found in TRANSFORMERS: GALACTIC TRIALS.
