RAY CHASE INTERVIEW @RayChase @SupanovaExpo

We catch up with Ray Chase to talk Supanova, Cosplay, bars and of course his amazing career in voice acting!

Welcome to Impulse Gamer Ray – So tell us how did you get involved in voice acting?

I got involved in voice acting after getting a Theater degree from USC! I auditioned on sites like voice123 to get started and experienced, then when I was ready made some reels and entered the world of audiobooks. 200 books later, I started migrating into video games and anime!

What’s the BEST part of voice acting?

The best part about voice acting is the insanely huge paychecks that we get!!

And the FUNNIEST aspect?

The funniest part about voice acting is that there are no insanely huge paychecks.

You walk into a bar in an alternate reality, which three characters that you have voiced would like to meet and why?

I would like to meet Usaraha from Uramichi-Oniisan and talk about his acting process. Karamatsu would be really fun too. I’d just want to give him a hug. And last – the Master of Masters just to ask him when Kingdom Hearts 4 comes out.

Who would you cosplay at a con?

I’ve cosplayed Noctis a few times, the Subway Announcer once, and the Master of Masters once in Texas heat (a poor decision).

What are you looking forward to Supanova?

The last time I was in Australia I found out about Tim Tam slams! That was 6 years ago and I haven’t stopped thinking about them…

Lastly, who is your favourite character that you voiced and why?

I love Roy from Fire Emblem – I grew up playing so much Melee and I can’t believe I got to voice him as an adult!

Thanks for your time Ray!
