With that said, Norton 360 Multi-Device
supports both the iOS (iPhone/iPad) and Android systems, however the
protection for iOS devices is relatively non-existent. iOS devices from
Apple are much harder to hack or steal information due to the
constraints of Apple's iStore and Norton 360 Multi-Device only offers
the ability to save your contacts from these devices or remotely find
your devices on a map. In an ideal world, it would be great if all the
Android features were available on the iOS.
However if you own an Android phone or
tablet, Norton 360 Multi-Device does offer some great protection which
includes protection from cybercriminals from stealing your data, access
to all your Norton products via Cloud Management and the ability to use
online banking safely. The identity theft protection is also supported
on the PC, Mac and Android but not on the iOS platform unfortunately.
Installation the app onto your Android devices is also quite easy and I
noticed no slowdown whatsoever once it was installed.
The PC options are far more advance which
includes the option of Parental Controls, PC Tuning and access to online
backups. The PC version also protects you from various cyber threats
such as viruses, Trojans, bots and websites that attempt to steal your
data. For our full review on Norton 360, please check out our review

Installing Norton 360 Multi-Device is a
breeze on either platform and should you get stuck, Norton offer 24x7
support. We also had no issues on Windows 8. As mentioned, the program
also offers a year subscription to Norton which ensures that all your
devices have the latest updates and protection from various viruses and
cyber threats. The PC and Mac programs in this suite offer a great
firewall and some strong anti-virus technologies that not just protect
you from viruses but also attachments, including social media and iChat.
With Android phones, Norton 360
Multi-Device offers some additional features apart from remote location
of your device should it get stolen or lost. These include remote
wipe which erases the data on your device, a web based lost notice that
messages your device asking the person who found it or stole it to
return it to you, a call/text blocker which blocks people on your phone
and a scream locator which forces your smart device to scream. This is
actually an interesting feature because you can use it around the home
or office it you accidentally misplace your device.
Final thoughts?
For just $99AUD, Norton 360 Multi-Device is
must have protection for people who own both a PC and an Android device.
If you own a Mac or an iOS smart device, I would probably pass on this
program due to the limitations of what this package offers as it is more
suited to the PC and Android systems or purchase the Mac version of
Norton. However if you own both a PC system and Android smart device,
than this is a must have security package. |
