Besides the powerful cleaning technology (up to 84,000 movements) with 3 times the plaque removal courtesy of the Maglev 3.0 Motor and to help keep bacteria out of your mouth, it also comes with mod-resistant Nano coating and it has an IP7 waterproof rating. The other highlight is that it provides instant feedback so if you have missed any of your teeth, the Oclean X Ultra S-Toothbrush will inform you. Unlike some other smart toothbrushes, navigating the modes is done via the touch screen on the device itself which is, well… clever.
It also comes with up to 40 days of battery life via a 4.5 hour wireless fast charge. The formula behind the battery life is a 2-minute brush twice a day (as recommended by dentists) using the 3rd level intensity via the Unlimited Clean mode. To ensure you’re not left without a charge, the Oclean X Ultra S-Toothbrush will inform you when the battery is low.

Unboxing
The overall build quality not only looks stylish but it feels quite sturdy. It also comes with a wireless charger plus a wall mount as well. For colour choice, the Oclean X Ultra S is available in black and green and is quite compact at just 138mm x 88mm x 22.8mm and on the front of the device in the middle, is the smart screen, including a stop and start button. There are also two LED’s on the unit that include Wi-Fi and the Oclean logo which is lit up when you are using the toothbrush.
Kudos to Oclean for providing three different brushes, the Ultra Cleaning, Ultra Gum and Ultra Whitening Heads. There is even a travel case which is perfect for holidays and given the long battery life, it’s perfect for those shorter trips. To swap between modes (Sunrise, Sunset, Whitening, Gumcare and Unlimited Clean), you simply navigate to your choice via the touch screen.
Setting up the Oclean X Ultra S-Toothbrush feel is an easy process and the company ensure you have everything you need to start your smart brushing. Once you have downloaded the app for your Android or Apple phone, it will take you through a pairing wizard that will you have up and running in no time, including select the best brush head. Controlling the toothbrush is through the smart screen and the included brush head feels quite comfortable on both my teeth and gums.
Setup
The screen also displays some information about your brushing, however the app explores this information more in-depth. I also like how the toothbrush beeps after 30 seconds which gives you a good indication of how much time you have.
It is also very quiet at just <45dB…
The AI bone conduction technology will also inform you if you are brushing with too much pressure or if you are brushing too fast with both potentially being problematic for your teeth and gums. The device keeps track of 8-areas in your mouth and the smart screen will display what areas have been missed in red and yellow for teeth not fully clean. As mentioned, there is an accompanying app (Oclean Care+) which provides you with a considerable amount of information on your brushing techniques with further recommendations. The app will also take you through a wizard on your drinking habits or if you are a smoker (are they still around?) and what you are trying to achieve in order to choose the right brush head and mode.

If you’re looking for a smart toothbrush solution, it’s hard not to look past the Oclean X Ultra S-Toothbrush which offers the user a plethora of important features and more importantly it is affordably priced at just $224.95AUD (November 2024 Black Friday Deal).
