News from Xbox – Xbox Adaptive Joystick Available Now / ID@Xbox: 1,000+ Games Published in 2024

With more than 429 million players with some form of disability, embedding accessibility and inclusive design into Xbox products is critical. Today at the Microsoft Ability Summit, Xbox announced that the Xbox Adaptive Joystick ($29.99 USD ERP, $44.95 AUD) is officially available for purchase.

Its versatility allows players to seamlessly incorporate the controller into their existing gaming setups for Xbox Series X|S and Xbox One consoles and Windows 11 PCs, and is designed to be a companion for other Xbox controllers, including the Xbox Adaptive Controller, Xbox Wireless Controller or Xbox Elite Wireless Controller Series 2. The Xbox Adaptive Joystick is available for purchase exclusively from Microsoft Store.

Additionally, on Xbox Wire in tandem with GDC 2025, we shared a recap of this year at ID@Xbox and how the program continues to support independent developers from around the world. The blog from ID@Xbox Director Guy Richards included the following news:

  • The Developer Acceleration Program empowers more than 200 teams worldwide to share fresh perspectives and untold stories on Xbox. With more than 75 games launched and more on the way, we’re amplifying new voices and expanding the gaming experience for everyone.
