New SNK fighting game FATAL FURY: City of he Wolves is out now!
SNK CORPORATION (Corporate HQ: Osaka City, Osaka, Japan; Representative Director and CEO: Kenji Matsubara) is proud to announce the official release of its newest fighter—FATAL FURY: City of the Wolves on PlayStation®5 and Xbox Series X.
SNK’s beloved Fatal Fury series first hit the market in 1991, spearheading the fighting game boom of the 1990s that swept the industry thereafter. GAROU: MARK OF THE WOLVES (released in 1999) has, for some time, served as the franchise’s most recent instalment. But that all changes now: 26 years on, a brand-new entry—FATAL FURY: City of the Wolves—has arrived on the scene!
FATAL FURY: City of the Wolves features a unique art style that stimulates the senses, an innovative REV System that supercharges the excitement, plus a host of other battle systems that are even more robust than before. The game also breathes new life into the series by introducing two distinct control schemes (ensuring fun and excitement for newcomers and veterans alike) as well as other fresh features and elements.
The streets of South Town are a hotbed of action, wild dreams, and even wilder ambition. Here, at long last, a new legend is about to unfold…
The titles for the SNK World Championship 2025, a global tournament dedicated to SNK fighting games, have been finalized! City of the Wolves alone will have a total prize pool of $2,500,000; the champion will walk away with $1,500,000!
The SNK World Championship 2025 is an esports tournament where players will vie for the top of the SNK fighting game world. Qualifying Tournaments will be held in various regions across the globe, culminating in a Finals Tournament held in the USA at the tail end of 2025. In addition to the qualifiers already running for THE KING OF FIGHTERS XV and SAMURAI SHODOWN, this year’s tournament will feature FATAL FURY: City of the Wolves as a main title! The combined total prize pool for all City of the Wolves tournaments (Qualifying and Finals) is over $2,500,000, and the grand prize for the champion is $1,500,000. SNK is joining forces with 11 talented DJs in FATAL FURY: City of the Wolves! Inspired by the game’s call to “REV IT UP,” 19 new tracks centred around the world, and characters of City of the Wolves will appear as stage music.
