New Intel Arc WHQL driver offers improved performance
A new Intel Arc A-series 4369 WHQL driver was just posted, accompanied by a blog post highlighting the Game On support. You can find the release notes here.
The new driver brings Game On support for:
- The Outlast Trials
- Up to 65% and 52% uplifts at 1080p Ultra and 1440p High respectively compared to the previous 4355 driver
- The Lord of the Rings: Gollum
- Up to 4% and 11% uplifts at 1080p Epic and 1440p High respectively compared to the previous 4355 driver
- Starship Troopers: Extermination Early Access
This driver also brings performance improvements for Minecraft Bedrock, with up to 30% and 34% uplift at 1080p and 1440p respectively with ray tracing enabled at 8 RT chunks.
Paired with this new driver is a new version of Arc Control with new features:
- Fan speed controls supporting automatic, fixed, and curve settings
- New display page with VRR control
- Auto driver update now supports Beta opt-in
- New search bar to quickly navigate to features and settings
- Virtual camera filters have improved background replacement and enable auto and manual adjustment of lighting conditions
- Performance telemetry now has a drop down selector to select from more than one supported device
In addition, the below behaviors have been corrected in Arc Control:
- Windows UAC (User Account Control) is no longer required to install and launch Arc Control
- Resizable BAR status reporting now works on all platforms
- The Live Performance Monitoring page correctly applies the desired removal of some performance tiles
