New Civilization VII Content Coming Weekly

Last week, 2K shared several things with the Civ community which include:

  • Civ Streams: The Antiquity Age. This is their first community livestream where Firaxis devs played through some gameplay of the Antiquity Age and answered live community questions
  • Dev Diary #1: Ages. Creative director Ed Beach outlined the team’s game design principles and philosophies behind Ages, one of the biggest new features in Civilization VII
  • First Look: Hatshepsut. The popular First Look series begins with Hatshepsut, Queen of the Nile. One interesting note for long-time viewers – traditionally, First Look videos focus on civilizations. But because civs can be selected independently from leaders in Civ VII, this series will focus on the leaders and suggest a few pairings for civs
  • Civilization VII Game Guide. The game guide is a resource for the civ community to learn more about game mechanics, civs and leaders. The first set of civ guides were published for Aksum, Egypt, Greece, Maya, Maurya, Rome and Shawnee

Moving forward, the team will be releasing new Civ content almost every week up until launch, in the form of First Looks, dev diaries, Civ streams, game guide updates, and more.
