Miles Allen Interview (One Man Breaking Bad)

Welcome to Impulse Gamer Miles Allen… or should I call you Walter White? <insert dramatic music>

I AM THE ONE WHO KNOCKS…The audience dead!

So Miles, how did you come up with the idea of One Man Breaking Bad?

The idea came about from the viral YouTube video of me doing the impressions. I got connected with Australian producers Young & Hardy, they flew me out to Melbourne and the rest is history!

Can you tell us the process of how One Man Breaking Bad went from “idea” to the final show we’re about to see in Melbourne?

The coolest part about this whole thing is that it’s been a constantly evolving process! Someone once told me, “Art is never finished, it is only made.”

Tell us what us Melbourners can expect during your show, One Man Breaking Bad?

An ENTIRELY different show than last year, with new jokes, more laughter, new impressions, audience participation and MORE BLUE METH!

What do you do to Hecklers?

Ricin in their tea usually does the trick!

If people turn up late or sit in the front, will you villify them?

Depends how I’m feeling…don’t test me. I AM THE DANGER.

In terms of the “real” Breaking Bad, who is your favourite character and why?

Jesse, BITCH! At first we see him as a deadbeat, but we come to learn he’s  such a complex character…also, MAGNETS BITCH!

When applying for your passport, what did you put on your application for career?

Meth Dealer.

Growing up, which comedians inspired you and why?

Robin Williams and Jim Carrey. They both not only utilized impressions but they also had a vulnerability and humility that they brought with them. When Robby died, I lost a role model.

What are you most looking forward to at the Melbourne International Comedy Festival?

Seeing all of my beloved Aussies! You all gave my first big breaking bad break, and I can’t wait to show you all how much more the show has improved in just one year!

Lastly, why should people see your show?

Whether you’re an avid Breaking BADdict or just hoping to save yourself 42 hours of binge watching, I promise you nothing less than an energy-driven, laughter-packed and totally re-vamped retelling of the greatest TV series of all time…BITCH!
