Madman & Bushiroad Announce Anime Festival Partnership, Bushiroad Card Game Championships
Monday 30 May, 2016 – Madman and AnimeLab are very excited to welcome Bushiroad to Madman Anime Festival 2016 as a major partner and key sponsor! Bushiroad are a fantastic addition to the festival line-up, which also features international guests, cosplay, exhibitions, screenings, and more.
Bushiroad, the powerhouse Japanese producer of anime and trading card games, will bring an exciting new addition to the festival with confirmation that the Bushiroad World Championship 2016, Australia Regional Qualifier tournaments will be held alongside Madman Anime Festival. Participation in the Bushiroad World Championship 2016, Australia Regional Qualifier tournaments is free.
In addition to hosting the Bushiroad World Championship qualifying tournament, Bushiroad will also be joining the festival with booths demonstrating and showcasing exclusive products with further announcements to come regarding special guest appearances.
Games that qualify for the 5th Bushiroad World Championship qualifying tournament will consist of:
• Cardfight!! Vanguard
• Future Card Buddyfight
• Weiss Schwarz (English)
• Weiss Schwarz (Japanese)

The winners of all four tournaments in the Australian Qualifying leg will receive a grand prize of flights and accommodation and an invitation to compete in the Regional qualifying tournaments held in South East Asia. If successful, they will then progress to Japan for the Bushiroad World Championship. The prizes are courtesy of Bushiroad and will be presented at the Madman Anime Festival.
