Let it Rip: The 90’s phenomenon, BEYBLADE, is back!

The iconic 90’s spinning top phenomenon, BEYBLADE, is gearing up to commemorate its illustrious 25-year legacy with an electrifying launch that promises to captivate fans old and new alike. Renowned for its customisable tops and adrenaline-pumping battles across Australian playgrounds, BEYBLADE has remained a beloved schoolbag staple since its inception in 1999.

New for 2024, Hasbro is unveiling BEYBLADE X, the fourth generation of BEYBLADE, which is the fastest and most dynamic to date. The new range of BEYBLADES introduces X-Celerator Rail gear innovation, allowing Tops to speed into high gear for explosive battles. When used on the stadium rail, the Top can zoom into an Xtreme Dash, bulldozing around battle zones for high impact, colossal crashes.

Available to purchase at all major retailers including Kmart, Big W and Eb/Zing. This June, Bey-fans can experience the exhilarating thrill of BEYBLADE X with new die cast metal tops that burst to make battles more exciting than ever before. The new line also features the BEYBLADE X Xtreme Battle Set, which is the perfect starter pack with all you need to begin the quest for Beymastery: the Xtreme Beystadium arena, two spinning Tops, and two launchers with ripcords (RRP: $119 AUD). Assemble your stadium and Tops, load your launcher, and 3-2-1, LET IT RIP!

Also launching this August, is a new BEYBLADE animation series which will introduce new characters to the much-loved BEYBLADE animation world. In the show premiering on 9GO, amateur Blader, Robin Kazami, finds himself out of a team when he is ditched by his friends after a crushing defeat. Lucky for him, a chance encounter with former champ, Jaxon Cross, leads these two unlikely teammates to join forces. Jaxon intends to climb back to the top of The X under the alias “Blader X” and challenge his old teammate and current champ, Khrome Ryugu.

Kamyar Zamanzadeh, Hasbro Brand Manager, said ” We are thrilled to embark on this exciting chapter in the BEYBLADE evolution to coincide with 25th Anniversary of one of the most loved and iconic toys of the 90’s. For a quarter of a century, the world of BEYBLADE has captured the minds and competitive nature of Aussie kids across the country, providing hours of fun, duels and contests. As we introduce our fastest and most dynamic toy range yet, we aim to reignite the thrill of BEYBLADE battles and create unforgettable moments for generations to come.”

Fans can also take their BEYBLADE skills to the next level and compete in digital battles. By scanning the code on BEYBLADE X Tops and opening BEYBLADE X app, players can unleash Tops in a virtual battle with other Bladers worldwide. Additionally, with the successful launch of BEYBLADE PARK on Roblox last year, with more than 4 million visits worldwide, the land will undergo a major renewal for fans to indulge in, simultaneous to the global launch of the metaverse world.
