KONAMI AND MANCHESTER UNITED ANNOUNCE LONG-TERM PARTNERSHIP

MUFC players, Legends and stadium all featured prominently in upcoming eFootball PES 2020, launching this September

Konami Digital Entertainment B.V. has announced on the 2nd July a long-term partnership with the English football club, Manchester United (MUFC).

“KONAMI is incredibly proud to be working with the biggest football clubs in the world and our latest partner, Manchester United, arguably jumps right to the top,” commented Jonas Lygaard, Senior Director Brand & Business Development at Konami Digital Entertainment B.V. “In a year of significant change for both brands, we are excited to be taking this journey together and bringing the Red Devils into the eFootball PES series – renowned for its realism and control.”

The partnership between KONAMI and Manchester United provides the eFootball PES series creators with substantial access to the club’s stars and legends, to ensure the club will be presented in the game true to original.

In addition, KONAMI is proud to be working closely with rising star Scott McTominay, as an Official eFootball PES Ambassador. Scott will be involved in multiple upcoming activations with Manchester United and KONAMI that fans can look forward to. eFootball PES 2020 will introduce the most faithful recreation of legendary stadium, Old Trafford, ever seen in a video game, thanks to a detailed recreation of the “Theatre of Dreams” that MUFC fans will love. Not only that, but numerous players have also been full-body 3D scanned and will be present in the new game at launch.

Manchester United is one of the most popular and successful sports teams in the world, having won 66 trophies over their 141-year heritage. Their success has enabled the development of the world’s leading sports brand and a global community of 659 million followers. eFootball PES 2020 ushers in a new decade of industry-leading football simulation with a bold promise to revolutionise eFootball and introduce the sport to a global audience. The game features a brand-new mode called Matchday that will allow MUFC fans to come together for weekly events to compete in the biggest matches and secure victory against the club’s biggest rivals.

eFootball PES 2020 will be available on PlayStation®4, Xbox One™, and PC STEAM, on September 10th.
