Justice League of Sonic – WBDGCP and SEGA of America Announce Exciting New Crossover Partnership

Today, Warner Bros. Discovery Global Consumer Products (WBDGCP) and SEGA of America, announced an exciting new crossover partnership that teams up DC’s Justice League with Sonic the Hedgehog and Team Sonic!

Ivo Gerscovich, Senior Vice President and Chief Business and Brand Officer of Sonic, Head of SEGA Brands, shared the first official details of the DC x Sonic collaboration this morning during SEGA’s annual Sonic Central livestream event.

Publishing in Spring 2025, the Justice League will meet Sonic and friends in an all-new, five-issue comic book series published by DC Comics and written by Ian Flynn (writer of “Sonic the Hedgehog” comic book series). The new series features an unprecedented crossover event where the Justice League and Team Sonic must unite to save their worlds from a major threat. The first issue debuts March 2025, publishing monthly through July.

During Sonic Central, Gerscovich provided a live global audience with the first look at Shadow the Hedgehog as Batman, Knuckles as Superman, Amy Rose as Wonder Woman, Silver the Hedgehog as Green Lantern, Tails as Cyborg, and Sonic as…of course, The Flash!

The campaign kicked off during Batman Day 2024 (September 21, 2024), when Sonic and DC’s social media accounts shared a mysterious video of Shadow donning his very own Batman suit.

Warner Bros. Discovery Global Consumer Products will also collaborate with SEGA of America on a global consumer products collection spanning numerous categories including apparel, toys, collectibles, and much more. Releasing in late 2025, additional details will be announced at a later date.
