Cygnett TuffStuff Ultra-protect iPad Case
This weird looking case from Cygnett
may not look that sexy but it does its job quite well, protecting
your iPad from worst-case situations... a manoeuvrer we like to
call, the iPad floor drop. Hopefully no one will ever accidentally
drop their iPad on the floor but the technology behind its design is
to add additional shock absorption should this happen. And before
you ask, we did not test the iPad floor drop with our iPad but from
its design, it does look safer than if your iPad doesn't have a
case.
In terms of design, the Cygnett TuffStuff - Ultra-protective iPad
case would not look out of place in an Adult Toy Store due to its
weird textured grip not that I would know mind you... but hey, it
just looks odd. The interior of the case uses internal ribbing that
in theory will absorb the shock of a drop. I'm leaning to agree with
Cygnett on this one because the material used is quite rubbery and
their theory is quite sound. Apart from the accidental drop, the
TuffStuff includes a screen protector and microfiber cleaning cloth.
The hardest part of the installation is trying to line up the screen
protector and ensure that no bubbles are present when you lay on
this thin sheet of plastic. This plastic is to protect your iPad
from scratches, marks and grime and the microfiber cleaning cloth
removes the muck before installing the protector and can be used
later on to keep your screen clean.
Installing the iPad into the TuffStuff case is very simple as it just slides in, albeit quite
snug. As mentioned earlier, the case has an added textured grip
that's goal is to ensure that the user has as much grip as possible
while using the iPad. Even though the iPad looks thoroughly cool
without a case, it unfortunately has no grip features; hence the
reason a case is so important.
With two years warranty and a variety of positive features (beside
its look), the Cygnett TuffStuff - Ultra-protective iPad case is
definitely the case to have if you have are prone to butterfingers
or want to ensure that if an iPad floor drop did occur, its internal
ribbed structure would ensure maximum shock absorption. Its been
designed to protect your iPad from drops, bumps and scratches and
still give the user access to all ports and controls which it does
quite amicably but the appearance ain't that nice.
