The iPhone is easily one of the best technological devices of the
21st century and it does everything from making calls, surfing the
net, playing games and of course taking photos and movies which are
just some of the features of this amazing smart phone.
The iPhone 4S
also boasts a high quality 8 megapixel camera which produces some
exceptional photos and videos which does put some digital cameras to
shame.
However without a case, the iPhone feels a little fiddly when taking
photos and filming videos, especially as you use the touch screen.
One workaround is the Belkin LiveAction Camera Grip which is an
iPhone accessory that not only gives you an external shutter button
but it makes your iPhone feel more like a digital camera and
definitely bring your photos to life.
Features
Contoured, soft-touch design
Fast-fire shutter button
Two modes for photo and video
30-pin connector
Works with the LiveAction App
Case-compatible
1 Year Limited Warranty
The installation of the Belkin LiveAction Camera Grip was a breeze
and our iPhone simply clicked into the holder via the charging port
on the iPhone 4S. That was basically it!
The only downside is
that we had to take off our iPhone 4 case which was a little fiddly
and something I would probably not do in the long-term. Another
fiddly aspect is that you need to download an App with the product
called LiveAction which basically makes full use of the innovative
design of the camera grip accessory.
The LiveAction App can also be used as a replacement for your
inbuilt camera app on the iPhone which just like the previous app,
allows you upload photos to Facebook or via e-mail. It's quite easy
to use as well.
I
also thought that having separate buttons for photos and videos was
quite ingenious as it gives the user more control over their smart
phone. Also the grip isn't the best in the world but it's
considerably better than using just your iPhone.
The last feature of the Belkin LiveAction Camera Grip is that it
also boasts an integrated tripod mount which removes camera shake
all together. Add in a 1-year warranty and although it won't replace
your digital camera, it is a decent option for those attached to
their iPhones.
