Star Wars Day 2012 (May the fourth be with you) will be remembered for two things... The Avengers movie release in the US and the follow-up of Saber. For our Australian readers, Saber is a parody of the Axe body spray commercials which is eerily similar to our Lynx commercials. It's basically the coolest Star Wars film since Star Wars Return of the Jedi and also stars Chewbacca!

Who came up with the premise behind this commercial parody? 

[Clare] Well Thank you! Rileah came up with the idea almost immediately after we shot the first one, but we got so sidetracked with Team Unicorn that we didn't have time to think about actually making it until recently.

Tell us your favourite parts of the commercial?

[Clare] I love the part when Rileah flings bubbles in my mouth. It was a total accident! It was so hard not to laugh, but to keep going! 

[Rileah] When Clare Force pushes me out of the tub and then Force turns on the shower...it's pretty epic:)

The commercial has been well received across the globe (over 1,751,500 hits so far), why do you think it has been so popular?

[Clare] It's chicks with lightsabers fighting each other covered in water with Chewbacca. And it's funny. What's not to like? 

[Rileah] The Star Wars element makes this globally liked. 

Seth Green was also the director of Saber 2. Besides his passion for all things geek, what else did Seth bring to the table as a director?

[Clare] We knew that Seth's extensive Star Wars knowledge combined with years of Robot Chicken would be a good mix to help tell our little Star Wars parody.

What do you both like about Star Wars?

[Clare] It's about a boy who went on an epic adventure in space and then saved the galaxy. Who doesn't dream of being that boy? 

[Rileah] It's just incredible story telling...the different archetypes within the franchise makes this something that everybody can love.  Did I mention how swoon worthy Han Solo is? Yeah, that too;) 

How long did it take to shoot the video?

[Clare] It was pretty much a two day shoot.

Will we see any outtakes?

[Clare] Possibly. We have a bunch of behind the scenes pictures on Nerdist.com

Tell us what it was like working with "Chewbacca"?

[Clare] Chewy's a team player. A real class act. But between you and me, Wookiees don't smell that well after hours of soaking in a bath tub.

Okay... the lightsaber fight? Besides both of you looking like you are having a blast, did you need to do any training for the video?

[Clare] The video happened so fast we didn't have as much time to prep and go over our fight choreography, as we did for the first Saber. 

[Rileah] We recruited a friend who is an amazing martial artist and sword expert to help us out...really do wish we had more time to prep. Our dream for SABER 3 is to give you the most epic light saber battle ever! 

Did Han Solo shoot first?

[Clare] You know it.

All kidding aside, who would win in a lightsabre fight? Ta’veren Clare Grant or Black Lion and sniper expert Rileah Vanderbilt?

[Clare] I would never fight Rileah. Our lightsabers are both made from the same Kaiburr Crystal, and if we ever tried to fight with each other with them, they would repel our powers so that we wouldn't hurt each other.  

[Rileah] LOL!  Yes, I don't think one of us would ever come out victorious...it's like Thor fighting Iron Man.

Did you guys get to keep the lightsabers?

[Clare] They were already our lightsabers. We have a fleet of lightsabers. One in every color. Removable blades and non-removable blades. 

Who did the special effects for the video?

[Clare] Our friend Jason Miller. He's very talented. He did the effects for our first Saber as well.

Where there be a sequel to Saber 3 with the other hairy wookiee… George Lucas?

[Clare] We would love to make more Sabers. I'm sure we can think of all kinds of characters to play with.

Have you heard anything from LucasFilm regarding Saber 2?

[Clare] LucasFilm loved Saber 1 so much that they gave us two awards for it in their 2009 LucasFilm Fan Film Select Festival (Audience Choice and Best Action). I'm sure they would think Saber 2 is equally fun.

Do you guys have any more solo projects planned?

[Clare] We are working on a couple more solo projects in development now. It's all very exciting.

Have either of you tried the new Kinect Star Wars games yet? Any plans of just videos of you girls just playing the game for YouTube?

[Clare] Actually, XBox sent Team Unicorn up to Seattle for the Emerald City Con to lead their Star Wars Kinect panel this year. We have all played the game a bunch at this point. I love the Dance part of the game.

I also heard a rumour that are you in discussions with Adult Swim? Can you give us some spoilers?

[Clare] No spoilers! We can just say that it is a culmination of everything that we have been doing with Team Unicorn, in one fun package.

Lastly Seth Green... tell us a secret or two about him?
