Toronto – April 19, 2016 – It’s time to defend the stage against zany aliens and become an indie music star in arcade-style music video game LOUD on Planet X from independent video game developer Pop Sandbox. Featuring 14 top indie artists, including just-announced bands CHVRCHES, Little Dragon and HEALTH, LOUD on Planet X releases today on the PlayStation®4 computer entertainment system and Steam (PC and Mac) for $7.99 USD / CAD, as well as select iOS and Android devices on April 21 for $3.99 USD / $5.49 CAD. For the next two weeks there will be a 10 percent discount for all PlayStation® Plus members and Steam users.
In LOUD on Planet X, players select from a cross-section of 14 top, current, indie music artists such as Tegan and Sara, METZ, Metric, Lights, Purity Ring and F*cked Up, then defend their stage from hordes of quirky aliens by tapping to the music and using a fun assortment of makeshift weapons like speakers, strobe lights, fog machines, amplifiers, bouncers and custom special attacks!
“LOUD on Planet X features some of the best indie artists in today’s music scene and the addition of CHVRCHES, Little Dragon and HEALTH make the already incredible lineup even stronger,” said Alex Jansen, Founder of Pop Sandbox. “With amazing music, artist likenesses that capture each band’s individual performance style and solid controls, LOUD on Planet X will resonate with indie music lovers and gamers alike.”
In addition to featuring top hits from each indie artist, LOUD on Planet X also includes four original scores created by Mike Haliechuk and Jonah Falco of F*cked Up, Brendan Canning and Justin Peroff of Broken Social Scene, Harrison and Warsnake.
