Jeff, Anthony, Murray and Greg are back in the latest Wiggles adventure in the
Wild West. But does it match the glory of previous outings? After about 5
viewings, I'd have to say the answer is no.
Don't get me wrong, this is still a Wiggles DVD with most of the fun that
brand name usually comes with. This disc is another fun filled adventure, it
just doesn't seem to have the same spark that we've seen in previous discs,
nor the general feeling of excitement and colour. The kids are still going to
love it.
There's a fun element to the disc with the Superhero of Sustenance, Foodman,
who helps the Wiggles rescue their friend Alfonso the Master Pasta Maker from
losing his cafe. The Great Western Cafe is going out of business and Alfonso
can do with all the help he can get to stop this happening.
Songs abound on this DVD and the children are going to really enjoy it. Track
listing for this disc is: We're the Cowboys - El Pato - The Wiggly Trail -
Listen to the Drummer Playing - Let's go to the Great Western Cafe - I'd
recommend it as a fun disc for the kids to add to their DVD collection.
4:3 aspect ratio that looks
great on the screen. The image is nice and clear and there really isn't
anything to fault on the site.
The disc is filled with
great audio that is perfectly clear and pleasant to listen to. Soundtrack is
in Stereo.
There
is a great postcard from Asia segment here in the extras section where the
Wiggles visit Japan and in particular the US Navy base in Yokosuka, where I
have actually been to when I was in the Australian Navy. This is a great
behind the scenes look at how the Wiggles and their dancers get ready for a
show and the work that goes on that you would not normally get to see.
After that
you'll travel to China and that famous wall that we've all heard of. It's all
good and a really great thing for the parents to watch as well as it gave me a
greater appreciation of it all.
Top stuff.
Other
features included a photo gallery, Jukebox selection and sing along with the
Wiggles.
