It's funny you know that
I requested this disc being a fan of the Snoop Dogg and knowing what it
involved I still got a shock when I started watching it. I'll get it out of
the way - this is out and out porn and definitely something that parents
should not be buying for kids.
What does it entail?
Well to put it simply, it's filmed in Snoop’s house and has all of the Dogg's
friends busting out rap tunes whilst girls strip, gyrate and do all sorts of
depraved things to each other. At the end of each track there is a real sex
scene (edited down to an R rating) that occurs somewhere in Snoop's house!
The way that it's filmed
confused me a little, making me wonder if I was watching a rap DVD or porn.
I'd have to come to the conclusion that this disc is primarily porn, and even
though there are plenty of tracks by some of the hottest performers in hip hop
today, most of the video is focussed on the ladies and what they are doing to
each other.
Now we should then at
least give the DVD the benefit of the doubt. At the very start of the disc,
Snoop himself tells you what you are in for and the cover leaves nothing to
the imagination either with the rating and warning that that it is mainly
concerned with sex.
And if it's the ladies
that you want, then it is the ladies you are going to get with a bevy of naked
femmes getting about and letting the rappers essentially do whatever they like
with them. There are some nice looking women shown here and people who are
buying for the sake of a perv will do OK. As I have said though, it's so hard
to categorise this one accurately as many folks will buy it for the fact that
Snoop Dogg and the others are in it, plus there is sex, whereas for the
average consumer of adult material, I think all the hip hop, at least in
Australia would annoy most consumers. So do we then justify it as a music DVD,
I still say no; it' a soft porn DVD that has an incredibly interactive
soundtrack J
Worth a buy? Hard to tell. Have a look at it for yourself and then tell me,
I'd be interested to know what readers think.
This flick is in full
screen 4:3 ratio which will please most punters who don't have widescreen TVs.
For the most part it's fairly clear and unlikely to cause any troubles for
consumers, everything is visible.
Dolby 2.0 is the call for this one with clear
audio all the way through. It's in cases like this that I think I was glad
that it was not surround sound! Even porn to hip hop has all the accompanying
sounds that you would expect. It's all here from start to finish, every sigh
and moan.
Basically you are treated to even more smut
and a music video here! Under the pretense of interviewing the young women who
appear in the film, they eventually get their gear off and gyrate though just
the same as they did in the main feature. Some of the interviews were amusing
but for the most part it was just the lead up to getting their gear off. There
is a skit called 'How to Shoot Your Own Video' that is genuinely funny, which
was a nice touch, but ultimately the girls get their gear off again.
That said however, that is the idea of this
DVD and therefore it scores highly for providing what it is promising; smut,
smut and more smut.
