Starring Paris Hilton and Nicole Richie, this hilarious series shows what
happens when two spoiled rich girls hit the sticks and work in the country.
Most folks have heard of who these two are, however to watch this show had me
in stitches of laughter the whole way through. It was as though they were
living in a world where there were no consequences, the way that they acted in
workplaces was simply unbelievable.
The
degree of naivette shown by them is simply incredible and when they say no to
having ever held down a job of any sort, you simply start to give up on them!
During
one of the jobs at a Sonic fast food restaurant, once they are fired they are
handed a severance cheque which they stare blankly at. They simply do not know
what a cheque is or even how to cash it at the bank.
Another time that I fell out of my chair is when the girls worked on a dairy
farm and the boss got Nicole to yell at the cows. What happened next was
amazing as Nicole starts swearing at the top of her lungs at these poor cows.
Essentially everyone sits back in shock at the language used and the viewer is
treated to a barrage of bleeps!
I
think that the main thing that carries this show is just how naive they are
about anything that is based in real life. I think it falls back to the fact
that they have been so sheltered in their rich and privileged lives that every
time something goes wrong back home, someone else is there to pick up after
them or their money forgives them most of their errors.
To sum
it all up, I do recommend this 2 disc series to anyone who likes a bit of a
laugh. It's silly to the extreme, and to top it off there is a reunion show at
the end where they all caught up nine months after the event. Highly
enjoyable.
This is a good looking
feature all the way through with nothing really to complain about at all.
Colours are well presented and there is nothing I could fault in terms of low
level noise or even artefacts for that matter.
Dolby 2.0 Surround. Audio is
nice and clear, with everyone easy to hear, so there was no period of
straining to hear what was being said. Good stuff.
We've
got a few things to watch here, but the ones that I enjoyed the most were
seeing some of the other jobs that did not make the main series. One of the
things that this disc guarantees is a laugh if you have even a trace of common
sense and knowledge about how the world works, these girls will have you in
stitches.
