This is an awesome flick that takes the viewpoint of a bunch of
bank robbers with a twist. What if the bank robbers became what they were due
to some shocking circumstances and then add to the fact that they are all
women! I really enjoyed this flick with it's gangsta viewpoint on a bunch of
women who all have their very own good reasons for falling into this life of
crime. It's almost hard to talk about this feature for the simple fact that
there is not a great deal of story that can be discussed without giving away
key plot points.
Starring the delectable Jada Pinkett, the amazing Queen Latifah and
two other chicks, this movie will have you hooked from start to finish. I was
just kidding the two other ladies are of course Kimberely Elise and Vivica A
Fox. Those who know their hip hop will be more than chuffed to hear that the
amazing Dr. Dre and a number of other rap notables, not to mention the fact
that Queen Latifah is in the feature for the whole thing anyway! Friendship,
loyalty and humour are what holds this group of four women together even when
it all comes apart at the seams.
I thought that this movie was really well paced and it's funny but
you almost expect that after the violence of the first few minutes of the
movie that the rest of it is going to be hunky dory which isnt the case.
Whilst maintaining some humour, it's a pretty full on flick that will keep you
in front of your tv for the duration. It looks great and sounds great with an
awesome soundtrack, the only downside is that the DVD only contains a
theatrical trailer.
It's well worth checking out for some solid entertainment that you
will revisit time and again. Recommended. |
