Once again Jamie Oliver, The Naked Chef makes his way into your loungeroom with some pukka ideas for some easy to prepare cooking.

As those of you who might have read my other reviews would know, I worked as a cook and in hospitality for many years and it's always interesting to see how other cooks and chefs present their work for the public. It was with great relief that I noticed that these recipes are both easy to follow and fun to make.

The great thing is that most of the recipes cooked in this series don't require measured ingredients as such and my favourite dish was the sea bream in mushrooms that was actually shown in the first episode on disc one. Yes, that's right, this is a double disc DVD and it's full of fun hints and tips for the kitchen.

Oliver makes cooking simple and is straightforward and forthright about the dishes he provides. I have done a quick check of some of the dishes he makes, and although in England where costs would be slightly different, he quite rightly tells viewers when the ingredients he is using are costly.

The disc looks good and the picture and audio are well synced. There is not much in the presentation as the action just takes place in the kitchen, however it's easy to hear what Oliver is saying and through the extras on the menu, it's also easy to make the dishes that he prepares on the screen for you.

A feature that comes in handy is that you can choose a dish that is made in the series, view the ingredients then go to the section where Jamie actually makes the dish. All up, it's very informative and easy to follow.

I highly recommend this disc as it's a great companion to any aspiring cook to try out some new and fun dishes to cook.
