DVD Reviews: Kenny Everett: The Complete Naughty Bits

The complete naughty bits by Kenny Everett, now if you have ever seen Kenny Everett before and you enjoyed him, you’ll love this.  This is not a film there is NO story line, it’s based on a cult skit show known as The Kenny Everett show.  The show was a real phenomenon when it was playing on TV and any of you out there can remember Kenny’s glory days then don’t miss out on this one. 

Wacky sketches not only include Kenny Everett himself but a few of his alter egos.  Ego’s include Sid Snott, Angry of Mayfair, Marcel Wave and Brother Lee Love, he uses these egos to make the most hilarious jokes and circumstances, and without a doubt, I don’t care what type of humor you’re used to, you’re bound to laugh at about fifty percent of the jokes and send ups.  The alter egos include a young punk who thinks he’s a bad ass but in actual fact a bit of a ponce, a most disgusting French man who likes to tell you all about his customs and how filthy WE are. 

In it’s time The Kenny Everett show was where the big names wanted to appear, the show was the crème del a crème of the talk shows, and where you wanted to been seen if your planning to make it big.  Other greats appeared on the show to keep the public interested in their work and of course to entertain their fans.   

The DVD has over sixty chapters for you to watch so with that many skits to watch and laugh over this DVD sure is value for money.  The DVD holds a whole range of skits from the start of The Kenny Everett show in 1978 all the way to the end of the series in 1981.  There’s also some pretty cool inventions, which include the Hootermatic, you can guess what that does, but not to down grade the other inventions the Stench-A-Way and the Mighty Boots.  Cliff Richard is also very funny in the DVD, Kenny tortures him all through the DVD all poor Cliff wants to do is sing a song, but Kenny just cuts him off every time and lets him get really close to the end but he never lets him finish. 

The DVD quality has held up quite well from the time it was recorded, the sound quality was clear the whole way through and the picture quality, though I will admit wasn’t the best was still very good.  Extras include an interview with Kenny, his biography, a few commercial trying to dupe you into buying the videos ASAP.  The complete works of Captain Kremmen a horny cartoon space hero, and hot gossip hiding there in the Extras too, don’t miss out on all the fun
