My kids go
mental over this disc and I can tell you right now that it's saved my sanity
more than once.
Everyone's
heard of Humphrey right? If not he's the bear on the picture next to this
text. I grew up with Humphrey bear as a kid and still even have the stuffed
toy given to me when I was three! To find him on DVD from Magna Pacific and my
kids reaction to the disc just goes to show the staying power of this friendly
fellow.
There are
three episodes on the disc with a total running time of 105 minutes. The first
has Humphrey showing us his favourite things to do and see in a brand new
episode made for this DVD feature. There is singing and dancing and also some
hijinks in the kitchen when Humphrey, Rebecca and Anthony make Humphrey some
honey cake.
I personally
laughed at the second one as Humphrey decides to set up a shop with some help.
He then goes on to wanting to sell some presents that were given to him! We go
on a journey with the bear and friends to see if his shop and dreams will work
out the way he wants.
Finally get
your fairy wings and tutus ready as Humphrey dresses up as a fairy to help a
friend write a story with some funny results that the kids will love.
The beauty of
Humphrey is that kids of all ages are totally smitten with the innocence and
humour that he brings to the screen. Whilst his human companions might change
over the years, it's that big bear that remains ever popular. High
recommendation to all parents.
