Discovery Channel takes us right into the heart of custom chopper builder Jesse James. And yes he is a direct descendant of the outlaw by the same name.

These are high end pristine machines that are simply amazing to look at, and even more amazing to see the creation of. To call them just a motorbike would be insulting. Each machine is an individual work of art reflecting the artistic vision of both the customer and also the crew who work with James to produce these beautiful bikes.

We get to see Jesse frantically getting some of his best bikes ever ready for Bike Week in Daytona Florida USA. The degree of work that goes into his bikes is simply stunning, from the hand shaped fuel tank all the way through to the hand stitched custom saddle and hand painted imagery that is on his bikes.

These bikes are not cheap and you can see why. It really put into perspective what you would consider to be a custom motorcycle and what some people might think is customisation. They are two entirely different beasts. Jesse machines his own wheel designs, trying to make each one unique. We get to see the process from the initial sketchings through to how the computer then converts that into something that can then be cut into steel.

You'll find this doco interesting, even if you are not into motorbikes. There are colourful characters who work on them and are very dedicated to their work. It's great entertaining viewing. Recommended.
