Running Time: 92 Minutes

Set sometime in the future, 6 people are trapped in a seemingly unending maze of linking cubicles with deadly booby traps. Among these 6 people are a cop, a psychologist, an architect, a maths wiz, a psychologist and an autistic adult.. none of them knows why, or how they became imprisoned, but they soon learn they need each others help if they want to escape alive.

CUBE is a movie that has no top Hollywood actors, and as such it is probably easier to relate to them. They all do a good job, but Andrew Miller stood out from the rest as the autistic. But in all, throughout the whole movie you only see the same 6 people, over and over, but it would’ve been a bit hard to try and include more actors into the movie.

Most of the film is pretty dark and the cubicles they are imprisoned in are only about 10 meters square, so there isn’t a lot of room for great flashy colors. Also, there isn’t much in the way of sound, just every now and then a rumble would go through the speakers, and it takes a fair while into the film when you find out why.

Special features on the disc include the theatrical trailer, directors commentary, cast and crew interviews and scene selection.

Cube is an average thriller that goes for 90 minutes, while offering nothing new in the way of sound or special effects. It won’t shock, as its not very scary, and its becomes predictable as to what will happen.
