Well they are back again and really the more things change the more they stay
the same. This time round the Kidz are helping their friend with a party and
all sorts of shenanigans ensue as they dance and sing their way through the
whole debacle.
Once again
these two jump around to songs and dance routines that kids could only get the
hang of after repeated viewings and if you can get your kids to do this more
power to you. Mine would not watch it after the first time and lost interest
before it was over. The only redeeming part of the disc is that it does show
real kids doing exercises that got my kids bopping around.
Vocals are heavily synthesised once again, dehumanising the whole process to
the kids and it essentially is very try hard. The music is up tempo and good
for bopping, it's the presenters that leave you cold.
There are 12 songs on the DVD and despite the "simple dance routines" promised
on the back of the cover (and they are simple), there are simply too many
steps to show in the space of time they give you. Amy does sound like she
could pass off as a halfway decent kids show host however it just doesn't work
for her in this format.
To quote
Pauline Hanson "I don't like it". And when we're quoting Pauline about a kids
(sorry, KidZ) disc, we are in trouble.
