Summary: The HyperX Pulsefire FPS Gaming Mouse provides some exceptional real estate for a truly smooth 'criminal' mouse experience!
4.8
Smooth criminal!
In the old days, gaming mouse pads were just traditional mouse pads with a ‘cool’ picture, however with the boom of first person shooters and E-Sports, there’s quite a bit of choice for the player and more importantly, they actually do something opposed to just aesthetics. So this time we’re looking at the new HyperX FURY S Pro Gaming Mouse Pad which may give you the edge while you engage in your virtual enemies, including some excellent real-estate for your mouse usage, both in-game and out. Professionally packed, the first thing we noticed about the HyperX FURY S Pro Gaming Mouse was its exceptional manufacturing quality that felt quite heavy and boasted a very smooth surface in order for your mouse to move as flawlessly as possible.
The appearance of the FURY S definitely draws its influence from HyperX with its logo in the bottom right and the pad itself is a ‘calm’ black… it’s very unassuming and it’s all about the quality. The bottom of the FURY S is made from textured rubber which also ensures that the pad doesn’t slide around while you play and it is quite thick at 3mm.
Furthermore and as it’s made from cloth, the edges are stitched to prevent anti-fraying so it will definitely increase its life. Gamers will also be pleased to know that the Hyper X FURY S Pro Gaming Mouse Pad comes in four different sizes that include small (290mm x 240mm), medium (360mm x 300mm), large (450mm x 400mm) and extra-large (900mm x 420mm). According to HyperX, the FURY S has been designed to improve optical tracking and this is achieved by its densely woven fabric which makes your mouse slide very well.
We tested the gaming mouse pad with a variety of games that include Battlefield 1, Star Wars Battlefront, Diablo III, StarCraft Remastered and StarCraft 2. With the increased real-estate for our mouse, we found that this supported first person shooters well and we rarely needed to move the mouse back into the centre. Accuracy seemed better, including control of the mouse in first person shooters and we also appreciated the comfort of the mouse pad while playing for long periods.
Real-time strategy games provided equally as good usage as did using it for non-gaming elements like surfing the net, navigating Windows and accessing a variety of software such as Adobe Photoshop and Microsoft Excel. So while using this product for the last couple of weeks religiously, I did find it quite a comfortable mouse pad, especially by resting your wrist on it and I doubt it would get grimy either. Also, I felt that it increased my control, accuracy and overall stability, particularly while playing games. Another cool aspect is that when not in use, you can simply roll it up and it boasts a 2-year warranty.
Final Thoughts?
If you’re looking for a quality gaming mouse pad, check out the Hyper X FURY S Pro Gaming Mouse which is not only comfortable to use but definitely makes your mouse glide over the surface and does improve overall tracking. This is the gaming mouse pad you’re looking for!
