Summary: Hope: 50 Ways to Help our Planet Everyday successfully targets the younger reader to inspire and motivate to make our planet better.
4.5
Future hope!
Aimed at the younger reader, Hope: 50 Ways to Help our Planet Everyday is all about inspiring children to help better our world and this book is a collection of dos and examples on how to make this happen. For example, there is a section called Recycling 101 that is all about recycling, including washing out bottles before you put them into the recycling bin to ensuring that products no longer needed (e.g. mobile phones) are correctly recycled to donating items to a charity.
The book also asks children to make a pledge to become green in order to help protect the planet and the more children who follow this pledge, the better their world will become. There’s also real-world case studies such as one school called St Agnes who turned their boring wall into a living entity thanks to plants and actually made a hanging garden with recycled milk containers. It also inspires children to work together from their family to their school in order to think green, including challenges like not eating meat for a day or having a day with no rubbish.
Final Thoughts?
Hope: 50 Ways to Help our Planet Everyday is a great way to inspire younger readers to become green that will hopefully have a floating effect to others, including their family. Adding to the success of this book besides the excellent text is the presentation and drawings that helps bring it all together to create “Hope”.
