Glorious performance!
Depending on which stores you visit or your inner gaming circles, Glorious may not be a common brand on your radar but they are hoping to change that in Australia thanks to their new PR Company. So courtesy to Glorious, we’re checking out their Glorious GMMK 2 full-sized (well 96%) mechanical gaming keyboard that combines gamer aesthetics with performance to deliver a product that is solely aimed at gamers.
Glorious GMMK 2 Specifications
- Connectivity: Braided USB Type-C to Type-A cable
- Dimensions: 37.6 x 12.4 x 3.8cm (14.8 x 4.9 x 1.5 inches)
- Weight: 1.25kg (2.76 pounds)
- Material: Aluminum top plate with ABS plastic base
- Colors: Black, white, and pink colorways are available for no extra cost
The GMMK 2 also comes with Glorious Fox Linear Switches and as it is 96% in size (which is the form factor) compared to a “regular” 100% keyboard with 104 keys, this model has 99 keys which makes it slightly more compact. Although it is plug-n-play which makes it work straight out of the box, you do need to install the PC software to maximize the keyboard for your gaming. You can also control the RGB lighting via the keyboard as well which is a handy feature as you can change this on the fly.

The overall design includes some or the Glorious branding that screams gamer and the black version looks great with some subtle Glorious branding, particularly with the ESC button. When it comes to the overall build quality, this gaming keyboard is not only professional built but feels quite sturdy which will probably outlast your current gaming rig with its aluminum frame and doubleshot keycaps with transparent legends. Setup is plug and play, however the Glorious app is the window to the soul of this keyboard.

And the Switches? The Glorious Fox Switches are linear mechanical switches that feature a lightweight 45g operation force which are pre-lubed with Glorious’ own G-Lube that makes them ideal for gamers looking for speed. As a result, it makes it perfect for fast games such as first person shooters or Multiplayer Online Battle Arena games.
I tested the game with titles such as Call of Duty Modern Warfare III, Fornite 2, Diablo IV and Doom Eternal and bang bang bang… the Glorious GMMK 2 Gaming Keyboard worked a treat thanks to the linear switches with their 45g operation force and 3.9mm travel distance. It also supports a 1000Mhz polling rate that allows you to pick the fastest debounce your switches can handle. Equally typing was great and as they are linear switches, nice and quiet!
… oh, you can even swap out the keycaps – check out our Glorious GPBT Premium PBT Keycaps Review.
Final Thoughts?
The Glorious GMMK 2 Gaming Keyboard can be found online from $119AUD (August) that provides gamers with an aesthetically pleasing device that has been designed for performance. It’s fast, it’s quiet and it’s deadly for your opponents on the battlefield.
