GCAP 2025 takes place from 6-8 October 2025
Games Connect Asia Pacific (GCAP) 2025 will take place in Melbourne from 6 – 8 October 2025, as part of the prestigious Melbourne International Games Week, a week dedicated to celebrating all things digital games, including developers, creators and players.
GCAP is a much loved and well attended event from game developers across Australia and the broader region, designed to connect practitioners and business partners to each other and deliver talks to educate, upskill, and inspire attendees.
The global games industry is evolving rapidly, and sustainable business practices have never been more critical. 2024 proved a challenging year for many industries, and games were not excluded from these disruptions. 2025 looks to be similar.
GCAP 2025 will meet the industry where it’s at. With a renewed focus on fostering business to business connections, growing peer networks, providing space for community building, and delivering in-depth talks across various game development disciplines GCAP 2025 will be the games conference to attend in our region.
This year GCAP will feature even more opportunities for formal and informal networking opportunities, mid to advanced level content streams, and strategies to help studios thrive as sustainable businesses. GCAP fosters collaboration between individuals, teams, and key industry stakeholders, ensuring attendees stay at the forefront of game creation and distribution.
We are looking for speakers, with submissions open now. Learn more here.
To wrap up GCAP, IGEA will celebrate the incredibly talented Australian game developers and the brilliant games they create at the 2025 Australian Game Developer Awards (The AGDAs) on Wednesday 8 October 2025. More details will be revealed soon.
GCAP and The AGDAs would not be possible without the generous support of our industry partners. If you would like to support the Australian games industry, please reach out to our Event Manager Molly Campbell to discuss sponsorship opportunities available.
