FUJIFILM UNVEILS UNIQUE ZUH6000 4K PROJECTOR

FUJIFILM Australia has announced the development of the “Fujifilm Projector ZUH6000” (FP-ZUH6000), an ultra-short-throw projector capable of projecting 4K images and equipped with the industry’s only*1 “folded two-axial rotatable lens.” The FP-ZUH6000 is scheduled for release in June 2025.

The FP-ZUH6000 is capable of projecting high-definition 4K images thanks to the latest DLP®*2 chip installed in the image processing unit. Furthermore, by enhancing Fujifilm’s unique optical engine, the FP-ZUH6000 achieves colour reproduction that is approximately 1.5 times better than that of the current model*3, as well as smoother gradation expression. Additionally, the unique “folded two-axial rotatable lens” enables multi-directional image projection simply by rotating the lens, making it possible to project large screen images from very short distances. This flexibility makes it ideal for creating immersive spaces regardless of the installation environment.

These days, projectors are being used more and more for spatial design in commercial facilities, art galleries, museums, and other venues. In particular, there is a rapidly growing need to create immersive spaces by arranging multiple projectors in a single space and combining them to project 360-degree images. In spatial design using multiple projectors, there is a need for higher image quality in the projected images as well as for greater efficiency in image adjustment.

In 2019, Fujifilm launched the Z Series projectors, which were the world’s first*1 to feature a “folded two-axial rotatable lens”. Since then, Fujifilm has expanded its lineup with the launch of the Fujifilm Projector Z8000, which has a high luminance of 8000lm, in 2021, and the Fujifilm Projector Z6000, which has a high luminance of 6000lm, in 2022.

The Z Series has been highly praised by customers for its exceptional installation flexibility and its impressive range of spatial effects. It has the capability to project images in multiple directions and from very close distances, enabling the creation of large, immersive visuals in various locations.

The newly developed FP-ZUH6000 is the first projector in the Z Series to support 4K high-definition projection, and it is a projector that effectively creates immersive spaces with its excellent colour reproduction and smooth gradation expression.

In addition to providing vivid images with a brightness of 6000lm using the latest laser light source technology, it has also been designed to be lightweight (approx. 17.5kg) and compact (486mm wide, 496mm deep, 175mm high). It also comes with a lens shift function that offers the highest level of performance in its class*4, with 82% vertical and 35% horizontal shift. This allows the position of the projected image to be moved over a wide area without changing the position of the projector itself or the direction of the lens, contributing to more efficient image adjustment work.

Fujifilm will continue to respond to diverse needs and expand the possibilities of spatial production through the development and provision of projectors that offer high installation flexibility, making the most of its unique optical technology.

Capable of projecting high definition 4K images with excellent colour reproduction

For the first time in the Z Series, this projector is compatible with high definition 4K (screen resolution 3840 x 2160) image projection. By evolving Fujifilm’s unique optical engine, the FP-ZUH6000 achieves excellent colour reproduction and smooth gradation expression. Compared to current models, it is capable of approximately 1.5 times better colour reproduction, and in particular, red colour reproduction has been improved by 2 times compared to current models.

Bright 6000lm images and a lightweight, compact design

The latest laser light source is used to project bright 6000lm images. The lightweight (approx. 17.5kg) and compact design (486mm wide, 496mm deep, 175mm high*5) contributes to reducing the burden of installation and transportation.

Equipped with a “folded two-axial rotatable lens” to realise the spatial production you intend, regardless of location

Equipped with the industry’s only*[1] “folded two-axial rotatable lens”, the lens can be rotated 90 degrees around the mounting axis and 360 degrees around the lens axis. By allowing projection in various directions without repositioning the main unit, users can effortlessly display images on walls, screens, ceilings, and floors. Its flexible installation options enable users to select the best method for their specific environment, making it possible to utilise previously unused spaces and create a more dramatic atmosphere. Users can also conceal the projector body, leaving only the lens exposed, to create a more immersive space.

Equipped with a lens shift function with a maximum*4 of 82% vertical and 35% horizontal shift

Equipped with a large-diameter aspherical lens, the new projector boasts a top-class wide lens shift function of 82% vertically and 35% horizontally. This enables users to adjust the position of the projected image over a broad range without moving the projector or altering the direction of the lens.

Additionally, the 1.1x optical zoom mechanism allows for easy adjustment of the image size. Combined with the lens shift function, this feature facilitates efficient image positioning.
