Fortnite World Cup Day One Recap
PRO-AM FINALS
The Fortnite Pro-Am saw a roster of 50 celebrities and 50 pro gamers battle for a USD$3,000,000 (AUD$4,200,000) charity prize pool.
Australian artists Alison Wonderland and Wax Motif teamed up with Australian content creators Loserfruit and Muselk to represent Australia and their chosen charities. Other Australian creators who participated included MrFreshAsian, paired with Desmond Chiam of the Shannara Chronicles and Lachlan with actor Liam McIntyre from Spartacus.
Airwaks and RL Grime were crowned two time champions of the Fortnite Pro-Am, dominating the competition, with USD$1,000,000 being donated to charity.
Here’s how our Australians fared:
- MrFreshAsian and Desmond Chiam – 15th place
- Lachlan and Liam McIntyre – 18th place
- Muselk and Wax Motif – 29th place
- Loserfruit and Alison Wonderland – 40th place
Marshmello, the Lost Kings, Aaron Gordon and Joey Fatone were some of the other celebrities who participated in the Pro-Am.

CREATIVE FINALS
Eight teams of four clashed in the World Cup Creative Finals! Players from all over the world qualified for the event by mastering Creative trials and were lead into battle by team captains, including Australian content creator Lachlan and popular creator Ninja.
It was a tightly fought affair with Faze Cizzorz and his Fish Fam crew coming out victorious.
Lachlan’s Cuddle Crew finished in 8th place, winning a prize of USD $195,000.
