FIGHT THE ALVAREZ EMPIRE IN KOEI TECMO’S EPIC RPG FAIRY TAIL 2, NOW AVAILABLE!
Today, KOEI TECMO Europe and developer Gust invite all fans to explore the Kingdom of Fiore in their new action RPG, FAIRY TAIL 2, now available worldwide on PlayStation®5, PlayStation®4, Nintendo Switch™ and Windows PC via Steam®. In celebration, fans can discover a brand-new trailer and an exclusive new piece of artwork by Hiro Mashima, creator of the original FAIRY TAIL manga and anime series.
A direct sequel to the 2020 game and based on the beloved FAIRY TAIL franchise, this new action RPG brings players into the frenetic action of the climax of the Alvarez Empire Arc thanks to a reworked combat system that offers more spectacular and exhilarating magical battles than ever before. Playing as members of the FAIRY TAIL guild, such as Natsu and Lucy, fans can freely and seamlessly explore the Kingdom of Fiore, while confronting Zeref, the Spriggan Emperor, his team of elites, the Spriggan 12, and the Black Dragon Acnologia.
An original story, the “Key to the Unknown”, will also allow fans to discover new events taking place after the final battle. Across four exclusive chapters, players will take on various quests, encounter a variety of unexpected characters, and explore iconic locations from the anime and manga, as well as locations original to FAIRY TAIL 2.
In addition, further details on the upcoming DLC have also been revealed. The first DLC will be available on 23rd December 2024 and will include the costumes “Special Outfit: Complete Set” and “Erza Outfit: Miss FAIRY TAIL Contest”. From January 2025, additional DLC will be released, featuring the “Bonus Scenario: FAIRY TAIL Hot Springs” and other items such as “Outfit Set: Swimsuit”.
FAIRY TAIL 2 is now available as a standard physical and digital edition, and a “FAIRY TAIL 2 Digital Deluxe” edition, which includes the base game, various alternative costumes in collaboration with the Atelier Ryza series, a bonus feature, “Atelier Lucy”, as well as various useful in-game items.
To keep the adventure going, fans can also purchase the Season Pass, which includes a bonus scenario, an arena where users can re-challenge bosses, more playable characters, alternative costumes for Erza and Wendy, and much more.
In addition to the standard edition, fans can purchase two special physical editions; the “FAIRY TAIL 2 GUILD BOX” which includes the base game, an original illustration B2 cloth poster, “Sorcerer Magazine Special Issue: Game Release Edition Vol.2” inspired by the first issue released in the original FAIRY TAIL game, a special shikishi with holographic finish (3 types in total) and an original soundtrack CD. Fans can also purchase the “FAIRY TAIL 2 COMBO SET” which includes all of the items featured in the GUILD BOX, a special illustrated canvas art with printed autograph of Hiro Mashima and a B2 Tapestry featuring artwork selected by Hiro Mashima.
