Top Gear: the Complete Season 12
Rev heads
rejoice! Top Gear the Complete Season 12 races its way onto DVD which
once again reunites the gang with Jeremy Clarkson, Richard Hammond and
James May. Just as entertaining as previous instalments, Season 12
contains a variety of impressive car reviews and of course those
hilarious Top Gear anecdotes such as the car challenges and of course, a
variety of guest stars such as Tom Jones and even Mark Wahlberg,
although most of the guest stars are from the UK.
The highlights of season 12 include
the amusing race from Saigon to Hanoi on scooters and motorcycles and
the testing of the Corvette, Dodge and Challenger on the salt flats of
Utah where they clock up speeds of excess to 150 miles per hour. We even
celebrate a birthday along the way, Richard Hammond's 40th and James
does his first real car test with the Pagani Zonda F Roadster which is a
classic to watch.
Is he nervous? You betcha!
What makes the series so popular beside the sexy new cars from race to
concept are of course the hosts, Clarkson, Hammond and May who have a
great rapport between each and best of all, you can tell that they are
really enjoying what they do.... lucky bast***s! Then you have The Stig,
the mysterious race driver who really knows how to handle a car and puts
quite a few through the laps in Season 12. With Season 12 such a treat
to watch, it's great that the gang are racing ahead with even more Top
Gear fun!
The
video quality looks exceptional in glorious widescreen with vibrant
colours and sharp images that is matched with the relatively good
quality Dolby
Digital 2.0 that compliments the video. In terms of
special features, the viewer is greeted to some impressive titbits from
commentary from the gang and the cast, more entertaining STIG segments
and a variety deleted scenes and information segments, all oozing with
Top Gear Goodness. With father’s day just around the corner, this is one
series that I’m sure most dad’s would enjoy!
Rock on!
