Merrick Watts and Tim Ross have been entertaining Australian audiences for over a decade now with various Radio, Stand Up routines & TV programs. With this comes their latest tirade, the aptly named 'Merrick & Rosso Show'. The Foxtel show is a free form variety show with mixture of sketch comedy, chat, and audience interaction.

There is very little reoccurring sketches from show to show which keeps the format fresh, and with each episode comes a different special guest who also take part in some form of gag. Some of the guests include The Veronicas, Stephen Curry, Ryan 'Fitzy Fitzgerald, and Hugh Jackman. While the special guest chat is entertaining as most of the guests are friends with the comedy pair in one way or another its the skits each of them do that are absolute gems and clearly make the series with some memorable ones such as 'Rays Mowing' featuring Ray Martin as a dodgy dysfunctional lawn mower entrepreneur, 'Bogan Hamlett' with Brendan Cowell, and 'Celebrity Stature' with Peter Helliar. Along with these you have the typical brand of Merrick & Rosso sketch comedy such as 'Steven Seagals Lightning Bolt Energy Drink' and 'Merrick & Rosso Adopt a Papua New Guinea Tribe'.

All in all this DVD is a must for any Merrick & Rosso fans as it contains their best work to date. The chat aspect is entertaining as well as informing and everything is always heavy on the laughs. This is the perfect laugh stock DVD to play with a few friends around for some late night drinks, and with the second season airing at the moment hopefully it won't be long before we gets the next DVD instalment.
