School of Rock
We
will teach the world how to rock 'n' roll!
Fired from his band, rock guitarist and vocalist Dewey Finn takes a job
as a 4th grade substitute teacher at an uptight private school where his
free livin' lifestyle, attitude, music and antics soon influences the
students to explore other sides of themselves the school doesn't
encourage. Finn's real goal in taking the job is to recruit a 9-year-old
guitar prodigy, Yuki, to become the lead guitarist in a band that would
be able to win a "battle of bands", solving Finn's money problems and
re-establishing him as a respected rocker.
This
fun movie starts Jack Black as a no-good rock n' roll bum who abuses the
system but when he realises that these children are counting on him, he
soon changes his tune. It's more a feel good movie then comedy but once
again Jack Black does a wonderful job at playing Dewey Finn.
The
video and audio quality of this release are exceptional and match that
with a plethora of special features and this is a very impressive
release, unfortunately it's more aimed at the children then adults but
I'm sure everyone will get a few laughs from this movie.
