Robot Chicken Season 4
If you're a child of the
70's or the 80's, than you're probably not a stickler for political
correctness and if you're a fanboy or girl who adores pop culture, than
you've definitely come to the right place.
Co-created by Seth Green and
Matthew Senriech Robot Chicken takes the piss out of a variety of
memorable TV shows, movies and characters from the Transformers to James
Bond. Although the humour is definitely the star billing of Robot
Chicken, what makes the skits so damn funny is that they have been
meticulously created frame by frame through the use of action figures
and toys.
Needless to say, the result is gut wrenchingly funny. Although
being a Star Trek geek myself and yes, I'm still angry at Abrams Star
Trek "reboot", season 4 of Robot Chicken contains one of the best Star
Trek parodies ever, Star Trek II: the Wrath of Khaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaan! (It
sounds funnier if you have seen the movie).
Once you have
literally wet yourself from laughter, Robot Chicken Season 4 contains a
plethora of amusing extras that include the 2008 San Diego Comic-Con
International and New York Comic-Con panels which is always great seeing
the creators interact with their fans and for aussies, it even includes
their media trip to promote Robot Chicken which is even funnier. At
times, you can see the twinkle in their eyes at how backward Australia
really is.
Lastly, we have a myriad of profiles, outtakes, deleted
scenes and the like to nicely round out your Robot Chicken experience.
Alfred Hitchcock, Indiana Jones, Freddy Krueger and Satan Claus... Robot
Chick will never allow you to look at these characters the same way!
Bravo indeed!
