Directed by Karl DiPelino, the man responsible for this disastrous
movie, PiGs could almost be considered the new American Pie with a
healthy dose of Porky's and in actual fact, this "teen" comedy is
quite endearing and entertaining at times.
In laymen's
terms, Pigs is like that embarrassing uncle who always makes a goose
of himself at weddings and generally at the expense of himself who
in this movie take the role of Miles (Jefferson Brown) and Cleaver (Darryn
Lucio).
These two close friends decide to have a gentlemen's bet by
seeing which one of them can score with the most women. With money
and pride on the line, one the suave and sophisticated college stud
and the other, the classic bumbling everday man, these two men
encounter the mysterious girl known as X, Gabrielle Xeropolos
(Melanie Marden) which threatens the very competition itself in this
politically incorrect and predictable romantic comedy.
Pigs is not a
bad movie per se, it's just not the best college comedy that we have
seen, however if you are a fan of those clichéd teen college movies
than Pigs may be the movie for you. Presented in 16:9 widescreen
with Dolby Digital 5.1 audio, Pigs is a first class presentation
that is matched brilliantly by the hilarious special
features.
Interesting and a tad enjoyable!
