OZ Season 2

If you are into prison stories, or high quality drama, then look no further than the latest installment of OZ, one of the best series that I have watched in quite some time. Some readers might have caught this series when it originally aired on SBS, however this is a true chance to watch it without interuption, which I can guarantee will be the case as it is one of the most compelling shows that I have viewed in some time.

OZ is the shortened name of Emerald City, a maximum security facility that houses all manner of the dregs of society. Allowed freedoms that normal inmates do not enjoy, the prisoners of OZ are genuinely corrupt with only a few shining lights seeking any real form of redemption.

The series is presented on 3 DVDs unlike the first which was on two and picks up where season one left off after the riot that took place in Em City. The transition between seasons is brilliant and if you have missed the first then you really need to make sure that you pick it up as one thing amongst the many OZ excels at is character development.

The plot is scripted in such a way that you will feel that you know all the inmates inside out by the end of it and whilst at times brutal, OZ is ultimately one hell of a satisfying ride.

This series doesn't contain any extras which is a shame however each and every episode is so compelling that I honestly reckon that you won't notice the absence of any additional materials. This is most definitely a must watch show, so get out there and do yourself a massive favour and buy OZ series 2.
